lyrics

I remember myself once
at the lake of Innisfree
no photo of me there
only memories

The swans all called me down
down into their dreams
I loved so fearlessly
I laughed at childish things

But we all change someday
like stones worn by the sea
I tuck myself away
and I unlearn how to speak

I remember hungry storms
drooling to the peat
I remember dancing then
among the emerald leaves

But one day my father caught me
unkempt by the strand
and he plucked my wildness
with his callous hands

But we all change someday
like stones worn by the sea
I tuck myself away
and I unlearn how to speak

I remember myself once
at the lake of Innisfree
no photo of me there
only memories

The swans all called me down
down into their dreams
I loved so fearlessly
I laughed at childish things

But we all change someday
like stones worn by the sea
I tuck myself away
and I unlearn how to speak
